Give us this day....in thanksgiving of our leaders

And our leaders in the church are encouraged in fact commanded to display loving characteristics of God and to display fruit of the Spirit, godliness, self-control, peace, holiness so that they can be living examples of what the Spirit of God entails, as Christ was when He walked on earth and as He is now as he leads us as King (Titus 1:6-9). And again the leaders are to have the characteristic of loving the LORD's house, ie His temple, His Kingdom. (Psalm26:8) because in the LORD's house is where His wisdom and glory are. Thank the LORD for those leaders who love to be with the church, and this means worshipping with His body. The church is not the four walls but His body and that is where His glory can be shown. (1 Peter 2:5-6) And that is where His power and might and love are shown. Blessed be the leaders who long to worship with the body, either in small groups or as a congregation.
