Who am I? My relationship with God through prayer (part II)

  • At long last, Love never fails. Never. Love for myself is eternal, everlasting, and a process to obtain. I truly believe that it takes a lifetime to get what Agape love is. And to accentuate the Spirit of Love. (1 Cor 13:8)
  • Do I even love those who have turned on me after becoming my good friend? Am I like David and Saul where David refused to say anything bad about Saul although Saul came after him? And do I dispel rumors that are not true and keep friendship with another dear friend even if everyone else things they are traitors? (2 Samuel 1:23) If I do I am walking the walk of Christ described in 1 Cor 13:6. Do I think of things which are true, honest, just, pure, lovely, and good report? Do I think of the things which are worthy of praise? Then I am walking the walk of Christ as described in Philippians 4:8.

Who am I? (my relationship to God through prayer)

Love always protects, always hopes, always trusts always perserveres. Again what am I doing to protect myself, and how am I allowing the love of God to protect me and myself? Am I hopeful about where I am going and is the love of God intimate with me in that hope? Do I trust God enough to perpetuate my little corner of that hope? Do I trust in Him enough to allow Him to take trust to another level, all because of His Spirit? Finally is the Spirit of Love perservering in me about me? Am I willing to go the extra mile so that His Love can perservere in me? (1 Cor 13:7)

I am the Lord Your God (part 2)

  • God is in such great control that He can demonstrate who has His favor and He can lead and make the decision to aide or not to aide. Do I think He actually hates Esau as He says in Romans 9:3? I believe that is more of a comparison as Jesus spoke of in Luke 14:26, so that we know He is choosing Jacob over Esau and that our salvation is coming through Jacob's line. He is also in such control that He knows all of our hearts and those who are rich in His Spirit. (Rev 2:9) He doesn't delight in evil but rejoices in the truth as it says in 1 Corinthians 13:5. And He knows who is His and who isn't. And He promises to bless those that love Him, and honor them always. (Proverbs 8:21)

I am the Lord Your God

And God is so wonderful and ever replenishing, ever nurturing as in Song of Solomon 7:2. He amazes me that He would be so full and overflowing and yet never empties and is there for all of us to drink and eat and be nourished. He is awesome. He is also not one to allow enemies to be successful or to remain if they are unrepentant. (Ezekiel 23:22) God is awesome! He wants us to be in peace yet He is still willing to protect us and remove those divisive forces and rebellious people. He also wants His children to rebuke those who would say they are His and yet still worship any idols and live licentious lives. (Hos 2:2) And because He loves us He is willing to spank us when we have chosen to follow our idols and will do so in a powerful and terrible way. (Hos 2:10) More than that, He loves us so much He bought us at a great price and even told us He was buying us at a cost. He foretold of Jesus and His disciples who martyred themselves, giving themselves that ll should be free in Christ. (Isaiah 43:4) all because God loves us and He is King. Simply said, He loves us. (Malachi 1:2) He chose us because He loves us. As He explains in Malachi 1:2, He loved Jacob and hated Esau (not hate the way we think but more of the way Jesus uses it in Luke 14:26 in the way of choosing God over family) and again His thoughts are not our thoughts. What a great love He has for us!!!
