- And God knows my hypocrisy. As many times as there have been people that make fun of me because I have always loved learning and as many times as people make fun of me for me, I have done that as well and pray God forgives me. (Proverba 1:22) And worse still I may not even acknowledge what I am doing is so bad or I may say “Yeah I know it's a sin, so what?” And that displeases God, (Micah 3:2) I have done that before and even gone so far as to say God wouldn't mind or care. What a lie? What hypocrasy? And He reigns me in by reminding me he loves me enough to show me what being good is: walking humbly, acting mercifully, and loving justice. (Micah 6:8) And He also reigns me in by reminding me that there are many idols in my life and that I have to make a choice whether to put HIM first or TV, food, drugs, sex, or money first. (Matthew 6:24, Luke 16:13). And He also warns me as Jesus warned the Pharisees. (Luke 11:43) He even asks me to think what I am doing by sinning and then coming back expecting not to have to repent or say I sinned. (Jeremiah 3:1) He even tells me that whatever or whoever I keep company with truly despises me. (Jeremiah 4:30) And although this is not always the case, when I am out of synch I am alone to deal with issues, as my allies leave me and God spanks me. (Jeremiah 30:14; lamentations 1:19) And then I weep. (Lamentations 1:2). And so I start looking for love in all the wrong places. (Ezekiel 16:33). And the LORD will not let this go unpunished. (Ezekiel 16:36). Not because He is mean but because He is What Father wouldn't want His children to be like Him!And He promises everything we want will be dried up because of our refusal to repent and stop following idols. (Hosea 2:12) And why? Because when we have gone so deep not to even see the God we once saw or maybe thought we saw, we have left Him and decided that's what we want for our life not living for Him. (Hosea 8:9) He knows at that point we would rather be in the midst of our idols, calling them our lovers, calling us their lovers (2 Timothy 3:2; 2 Timothy 3:4)
We as humans are gifted with the fact that we are so short sighted and are seldom not in awe when things happen to us that may be out of the ordinary routine, whether for good or bad. Blind sided though we are we also demonstrate remarkable resiliance. I am part of that resiliance and am here to help, through my writings and through discussions with the reader. So sit back, buckle your seat belts, and enjoy the ride.
